Creativity is the key

  2. Define the target audience. The target users / groups/ market should be accessible, receptive and profitable. 

  3. A good methodology to gain insight, is by carrying out a SWOT analysis. Analyze your Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats. 

  4. Carry out a competitor analysis. What are your (dis)advantages with respect to the competition? What sets you apart?

  5. Get creative. Creativity is the process of brainstorming a strategy after being well informed about the contributing factors. Remember, while in the brainstorming phase, there are no bad ideas. Combine things, be adventurous, and have fun with the process.

  6. Try not to protect your idea to the point you become inflexible. 

  7. Determine which channels you will use to communicate with your target users/customers. Think of how you can tailor your idea through different mediums, while disseminating the same message.
